A Man Made for Marriage looks like a great guide.  Can you tell us a little about it?

The book is indeed a guide to help people who otherwise need coaching. The chapters are chock full of must have information. Odd chapters speak to men while Even chapters address women. The focus of the book is to help ladies between dates, men following a break up and couples needing to level up, or leave their existing relationship.

Any plans to turn it into a series?

I’m more interested in the type of book this represents. I’d like to focus even more on purpose in the next book.

How long did it take you to write A Man Made for Marriage?

As part of a 7-day challenge, it took me about 12 days to complete this book. The goal of the challenge was to write a 5k word book, but since my term papers were that size, I decided to push myself and complete this project with 30k words as fast as possible. Earlier this year I published a book of similar size, in about 6 months.

What inspired you when writing A Man Made for Marriage?

As a Relationship coach, I have listened to and helped multiple couples who are in distressed relationships. I don’t like it when women cry at night which is something that started with seeing my Mother cry when I was 8. Somehow, I was branded. From then on my quest began to help ladies choose the right man. This book gives ladies a jumpstart on stress, avoidance. Since I cannot reach everybody, I decided to write this book to extend my reach and effectiveness.

What inspired the idea for your book?

A client and friend of our two girls asked them if I would help her evaluate an internet date who planned to fly from the west coast to the east coast to meet her. Serving as a proxy Dad, I agreed since she had already suffered a divorce after getting married as a teenager. I had previously told her, that I would have advised against the marriage, but I wasn’t asked for my thoughts. Once the young man arrived, it was clear that he was nice man, but was the wrong man for this daughter. During the session, I realized how many millions of young women might go through this without a Father to help them. This event contributed to the writing of this book.

How did you come up with the title to your book?

The title came from a survey with the same name. The survey is designed to give ladies a peek into the kind of guy they are attracting. The goal of the survey is to promote conversation between the couple to help them build or abandon their plans. The book matched the name of the survey with gave us symmetry.

What will readers get out of your book?

Readers will get coaching insights designed to provide ready to use tools. Men and women will understand the fundamentals that builds healthy expectations in their respective relationships. Heartache and headache relief is also a major takeaway for readers who implement the principals.

How did you come up with the story and ideas in A Man Made for Marriage?

The structure of the book features a hero and a villain in each chapter. Additionally, each chapter contains multiple third party interviews from celebrities, influences and lesser known people. I got the idea to structure the book this way from my previous publisher for a book I recently wrote called Run LAPS, Get Strong: Do Discipleship Differently.

The stories themselves came from conversations with numerous people and the issues they shared in common.

What part of the book did you have the hardest time writing?

The hardest chapter to write was the introduction. The challenge was to not turn the intro into a complete chapter. The book is written to both men and women, but the title leans towards men… A Man Made for Marriage. However, the chapters are split evenly, 5 chapter for men. 5 chapter for women. You see the dilemma. To resolve this, I wrote the intro to men.

Can you tell us a little about your background?

I am a former Army Captain and author of 5 other books.
